About Us

 Healing Journeys was started by Felicia Williams, a 25+ year nurse veteran who has been employed in the psychiatric field since 1996. She  obtained her AS/AA & RN at AV College in 1996. Her BA in psychology  at Chapman University in 2000. Her MSN in nursing at Loma Linda University in 2010. And also completed post-graduate studies at California State Long Beach where she obtained her psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner certification in 2011. Felicia has years of experience working in patient care at AV Hospital from 1996-2009, working in case management, the emergency department and the mental health unit. Since that time her focus has been servicing the underserved in the AV’s local FQHC’s. Felicia comes with a wealth of experience & knowledge in the mental health field.
 

Also employed at Healing Journeys are Karla M., our front office  manager, who comes with 17+ years of experience working in the mental health field, in both the San Francisco area and the Antelope Valley.
 

Healing Journeys also has an excellent back office manager, Margaret M. who has over 25+ years of experience working with direct patient care in the fields of transgender issues, dual-diagnosed & the  mentally ill.
 

Our ultimate goal is to service the AV with compassion & excellence of care that all deserve, for the long term or however long one needs our assistance. Psychiatric care that one can count on.
